Christmas is a time spent with family and loved ones. Garcelle Beauvais spent hers with her twin sons, Jax and Jaid, as evidenced by the photo shared to her Instagram account.

The beautiful mom, her sons, and their dogs wore matching red and black-checkered pajamas, as they smiled for the camera. Beauvais and her kids sat on the staircase with a giant Christmas tree by the side.

The mom-of-two captioned the post,

OVER THE MOON

Beauvais shares her sons with her ex-husband, Mike Nilon. The former couple welcomed Jax and Jaid in October 2018 in a Los Angeles hospital.

In a statement at the time, the then-first-time mom described them as gorgeous. She added that she and her then-husband were so much in love with the boys and over the moon.

CO-PARENTING MADE EASY

Before the boys turned seven, in 2014, Beauvais and Nilon separated, and got 50-50 custody of their children. She once said about it,

"Luckily, co-parenting with Mike has been a blessing because we let each other see the boys even when it's not his or my week."

The actress added that although it breaks her heart when Jax and Jaid are with their dad, she deals with it. The "The Jamie Foxx Show" star wants her children to have a relationship with their father.

A MOM ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE

As a child, Beauvais' father left after her parents divorced, and she didn't see her father again until she turned fourteen. Thus, she wants her children to have a different story.

The "Franklin and Bash" star dotes on her sons and makes time for them despite her busy schedule. In an interview with WebMD, the actress said she creates a stable environment to enable her sons to thrive.

The doting mom also ensures she and the twins share mealtimes and other activities that help them bond. She encourages the boys to have different personalities, and have interests outside themselves.

Beauvais loves being a mom to her sons and adores Jax and Jaid. She is the definition of an excellent co-parent and puts the interest of her boys above everything else.
