There was an awkward moment to take note of on December 31 when Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were hosting live from Times Square for CNN.

The presenters were chatting live with rapper 50 Cent, who was in Miami, via satellite, and things seemed to be going just fine until an erroneous name call by Andy Cohen.

Andy Cohen, trying to call the legendary rapper by name, mistakenly said, "Shaq," instead of "50 Cent." That call made 50 Cent to pause momentarily, after which Andy Cohen realized his error, and said the right name.

Andy Cohen continued his conversation with the rapper, and the focus was on the big chain 50 Cent wore. The error got viral on social media, which lead to Andy been trolled.

One person tweeted:

"Andy Cohen had so much tequila he confused 50 Cent with Shaq."

Another user said:

"Andy Cohen just called 50 Cent "Shaq" on live TV, and I am living."

This is not the first time that 50 Cent would have Shaquille O'Neal come up while he was being interviewed on television.

During an episode of "Access Daily," the rapper was in for a surprise when a celebrity popped on him while he was live on the show, and that celebrity turned out to be Shaquille O'Neal.

50 Cent was, however, happy to have the former NBA star crash his interview, joking to Kit Hoover, Scott Evans, and Sibley Scoles, that he was ready for the surprise to be Wendy Williams instead.

The rapper also tweeted about the meeting with Shaq, saying:

"I was feeling big till Shaq showed up."

Shaquille O'Neal, on the other hand, was delighted to be meeting with 50 Cent. Shaq said that though he and 50 hadn't met before, they had discussed business previously, and he was a huge fan of the rapper.

, Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper were doing it together for the third time in a row, and together, they served up a great spectacle.

The duo pivoted anchors of the television news network, correspondents, as well as musical guests at New Year's Eve parties all over the country.

In the live show, Andy Cohen continued with his tradition of getting Anderson Cooper and other guests shots of liquor, including tequila and Jägermeister. This time, the presenters began their drinking spree at 8 p.m.
