The loss of a parent hurts, especially if you shared a close bond with them. Anderson recently lost her dad and couldn't help getting emotional as she posted a video from one of their last moments together.

"Daddy, I love you always and forever!" the reality star wrote alongside footage of her snuggling up to Darius on his hospital bed while he was alive. "I started crying, thinking this video of us got erased!!!"

"I’m not naive enough to believe that a man who had been caught cheating more than once is just going to all of a sudden stop."

"Thank u for everything you taught me growing up and being the best dad you always knew how!!!" she continued. "#ALS didn’t beat you ‘cause you fought harder than a lot of us could’ve!"

Judging from her post, Anderson’s dad died of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, "is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control."

In November 2019, Anderson explained in an Instagram post that even though she never knew her biological father, Darius raised her as his own while he was married to her mother, Lyrica Garrett.

The 32-year-old mom-of-one revealed that she’d lost contact with Darius after he and her mom got divorced, but when they reunited, it was like nothing ever happened. He even attended her gender reveal party last year.

Anderson’s fans took to the comment section of her post with condolences and soothing words. “So sorry for your loss, sending you and your family love and strength and keeping you all in my prayers,” one Instagram user wrote.

Darius’s death comes a few months after L&HHH fans got to see Anderson’s marriage woes playing out on the show. The singer moved out of her house with husband A1 Bentley due to his constant cheating.

Anderson took their young son, Ocean, with her and struggled over whether she should give in to A1’s reconciliation attempts. The music producer especially impressed her when he went all out to make her pre-ESPYs performance a success.

Per Hollywood Life, Anderson said in a confessional:

"I’m not naive enough to believe that a man who had been caught cheating more than once is just going to all of a sudden stop. But I do miss him and we have so much history that I want to fall back in love with him — if he can prove that he’ll be the kind of husband that I deserve."

During the season, fans also complained about Anderson’s mother interfering in her marriage. For the most part, Garrett seemed not to want her daughter going back to her marriage with A1, but viewers thought she should stay out.

Anderson and A1 would eventually reconcile in an emotional reunion episode where they both cried. Our thoughts and prayers are with Anderson and her family as they now have to deal with the loss of her father.
