Carmelo Anthony Gifted Single Baltimore Mom with a New Car for the Holidays

Carmelo Anthony made a single mom from Baltimore very happy during the holiday season, as he gifted her with a new car in partnership with Gettacar.

One lucky mom from Maryland is now driving around in a gorgeous ride all thanks to Carmelo Anthony. Hoping to give back to his hometown, Melo decided to tie up with "Gettacar," an online car buying platform that provides cars to Maryland and throughout the East Coast.

MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE

According to Anthony, he made a family happy and made some wishes come true right on time for the holidays.

"We surprised a family who really needed it, and we made somebody’s holiday. We made a family happy, made some wishes come true. It’s a great feeling when you can do something like that and help a family out. It always put things in perspective when you see the impact that has on people."

THE LUCKY WINNER

To ring in the new year, Anthony gifted a 2017 Mazda CX3 to Shalita Addison, mother of Mount St. Mary's College basketball player Taylor Addison.

Carmelo Anthony also made sure to make his own son happy over the holidays, reuniting with Lala to give him a fun holiday experience.

GIVING BACK TO A MELO FAN

Taylor Addison and her mom were the lucky winners because she's always been a huge Carmelo Anthony fan. In fact, she revealed that it was Melo who inspired her to play basketball.

“I’m so grateful. Sometimes you don’t think that prayer works, but raising her and then she gets a D1 scholarship, just the odds of that are just like, you know what I mean? It makes you just keep pursuing your dreams and sometimes everything doesn’t workout, but like they always will.”

Carmelo Anthony also made sure to make his own son happy over the holidays, reuniting with Lala to give him a fun holiday experience. This came after rumors of them getting back together before separating again.

Lala Anthony posted a picture of their family-of-three in matching pajamas as they celebrated the holiday season together, making it clear that they've been working things out.
