Josh Gracin of 'American Idol' Fame & Wife Katie Welcome Their First Child Together, Baby Boy Luka Roman

“American Idol” alum Josh Gracin and wife Katie are proud parents as they welcomed their first child together, baby Luka Roman.

Josh Gracin and wife Katie received the perfect New Year’s gift as they welcomed their first child together on Monday, January 13.

The great news was shared on Instagram by Katie with a series of heartwarming photos showing their little bundle of joy.

The pictures which were taken exclusively by PEOPLE showed the little one in all his glory as he cradled by his mother and father. The accompanying caption read:

“Our little Luka was born at 9:03 pm yesterday at 7lbs., 15oz. We are so in love with this little angel.”

During an interview with PEOPLE, the season 2 winner gushed about his son, saying:

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our son Luka Roman into the world. My amazing wife endured so much to make sure our little boy arrived healthy and happy! We are beyond blessed.”

Katie and Josh first announced the news of their pregnancy in July. Katie explained that they had been praying and hoping for a child and had even gone as far as picking a name for their unborn child.

Speaking on how they came up with the name Luka, Gracin explained that it was a representation of his father’s “Croatian heritage and Italian blood.”

By October, Katie has her baby shower, and it was revealed that they would be having a boy.

The couple tied the knot in May 2017 in a lovely ceremony. Gracin first fell for Katie when he met her while she was working through college at the Music City bar Tin Roof in Nashville.

As noted by Taste of Country, little Luka joins three older sisters and one brother from his father’s previous marriage.

Since winning the reality singing competition, Gracin has found success in country music. Some of his hits include “Nothing to Lose,” “I want to Live,” and “Lucky Stars.”

The year is bound to be an eventful one for Josh and Katie.
