Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters are off the market! The couple went from engaged to married on Monday after an intimate wedding ceremony in South Africa.

The sunset ceremony took place at La Paris Estate, Cape Town, South Africa. The former NFL quarterback and the 2017 Miss Universe read their self-written vows in the 30-minutes long ceremony.

LEAVING TRADITION BEHIND

Before the wedding, the excited groom, Tim Tebow, exclusively told People how he wanted the ceremony to go. He said about the vows,

"I want the vows to be perfect. I'm leaving the traditional things like 'Till death do us part,' but I'm also adding some of my own things to it."

The couple invited 260 guests to celebrate with them and witness the occasion. Nel-Peters wore a custom-made gown from David's Bridal, and she paired it with diamond and pearl earrings from Marion Rehwinkel Jewelry.

A FUSION OF TWO CULTURES

Tebow went with a tuxedo designed by Antar Lavar. The couple wanted an outfit that was both sleek, elegant, and timeless, as they will remember their wedding day for the rest of their lives.

The proposal took place at his family farm in Jacksonville, Florida, and he gave his then-fiancee a 7.25-carat solitaire diamond ring.

The ceremony had a fusion of American and South African cultures as the couple is "Quite traditional." The menu toed the same line as guests got treated to food from both countries.

IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY

The couple also included little things like their favorite salad on the menu in celebration of their similarities. To Tebow and his bride, it was a dream come through, and worth every penny spent on it.

Other highlights of the day for the two include the moment they saw each other in their wedding outfits and their first kiss as a married couple. The first dance was equally special for the two.

LOVE AND LAUGHTER, FOREVER

Before the wedding, the former NFL player shared on Instagram a video of himself and Nel-Peters enjoying pre-wedding activities. The clip included face painting and dancing to South African music by the couple.
