Kate Middleton is adept with the use of the camera, but took a backseat and let a 10-year-old lead the way, as she posed for a lovely photograph, all smiles, and looking gorgeous.

The Duchess was at a creative workshop organized by the National Portrait Gallery's Hospital Program at the Evelina London Children's Hospital on Tuesday.

Kate was at the workshop to see firsthand the influence arts had on children's wellbeing and health. The Duchess turned out to be the focus of the attention of Luke Wheeler-Waddison, a heart patient at the hospital.

Luke first presented the Duchess with a gift of colorful "rag wreaths," before going on to snap a photo of her. Kate Middleton loved the portrait so much and shared it on social media. In a tweet, which accompanied the picture, she said:

After taking the photo, the little boy was proud of his achievement and happily displayed the keepsake polaroid. His younger sister, Savannah, 4, also admired the picture.

The Duchess also cherished the "rag wreaths" she was presented, and disclosed that she would keep it in the room of her 4-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte.

A Royal family expert claimed that the Cambridge Royals were still reeling from Harry and Meghan's departure.

Apart from photography, the children also participated in other activities like illustration and 3D set design. It proved to be a great day of learning for the kids, who are receiving care at the hospital.

Kate Middleton looked fashionable, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana skirt suit, which she matched with black tights and heels. She also wore a pair of diamond Mappin & Webb Empress earrings.

Middleton's visit to the hospital comes following the exit of her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle from the Royal Family after they announced that they were stepping down as senior members of the Family.

Kate and her husband, Prince William, are still getting to terms with the exit, and it may take a long time for them to get over it entirely.

A Royal family expert claimed that the Cambridge Royals were still reeling from Harry and Meghan's departure, and would be taking up more responsibilities in their attempts to get things back on track.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken part in several Royal engagements since then, and the expert, Katie Nicholl, believes that they showed signs of stress in those outings.

It is quite expected that William and Kate would take on more responsibilities with the void created by Harry and Meghan, which untenably would lead to them getting a little bit stretched.
