TORRES' FATE
The anticipation was worsened by an Instagram post by the "NCIS" star, showing a preview of Torres on the verge of death, along with what seemed to be a farewell message, hours before it aired. He wrote:
"Thank you to all the beautiful fans! For all the love you've given me, I love you guys. Here's an exclusive clip from tonight's EP."
Wilmer's character became the victim of a hit-and-run, orchestrated by his ex, who wanted him out of the way to prevent him from testifying against her in court. The incident landed him in a dire condition, leaving fans worried about his survival.
FANS WERE RELIEVED EVENTUALLY
Following his post, fans of the police procedural show flooded the 39-year-old's comment section with words of sadness in anticipation of his exit.
One fan commented, "We need you, Torres. Who else is going to fill the 'macho-know-it-all' character?" another added, "You better not leave." A third expressed disbelief saying, "No, just no. Nick Torres can't die."
The episode ended with the hero's recovery. With his help, the detective squad was able to take down his ex, to the relief of fans who took to social media to commend the series for a "phenomenally superb" episode.
WILMER'S ENGAGEMENT
The NCIS star has been busy off the screen as well, keeping the sparks alive with the love of his life and off-screen partner, Amanda Pacheco.
The icon recently got engaged to the model, sharing a photo of the moment on Instagram. The post captured the NCIS star, down on one knee before his bride-to-be as he popped the big question. The caption read:
"It's just us now. 01-01-2020."
PLANNING TO EXIT THE SHOW?
The screen idol joined the show in 2016, replacing Michael Weatherly, who left to pursue other projects. Following his addition, the newly-engaged promised fans an awesome season and has lived up to it so far.
His signing up on the show was on a contract basis, intended to run through the fifteenth season of the CBS series.
However, after winning fans over, and becoming a favorite, Wilmer Valderrama's contract was renewed for two more seasons.
Last April, Valderrama announced he was returning for the 17th season, slated to run through 2020, to everyone's delight. It looks like Wilmer would be sticking around for a long time.
