Us Weekly: Meghan Markle Isn't Close with Her Mom Doria Ragland despite Numerous Reports
Amid claims that Meghan Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, might be the influence behind the Sussexes step down from royal duties, a source revealed to Us Weekly that both women were not as close as it seemed after all.
Following the Sussex Royal's exit from their royal seats shortly after a long Canadian vacation with Meghan Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, speculations arose, linking the royal-in-law to the decision.
However, a source told Us Weekly that the royal bride and her mom were not as close as the media portrayed them to be.
MEGHAN IS NOT "VERY CLOSE" TO HER MOM
Sources close to the royal-in-laws have stepped forward to clear the air over the underlying royal feud that has somehow gotten the royal-mother-in-law, entangled. An insider told the outlet:
"She's not very close to her mom."
While the 63-year-old has built a career in Los Angeles as a Yoga Instructor, many claimed the move of the royalties to Canada was to enable them to spend more time with Doria, implying a possible relocation from LA.
THE ROYALTIES LIFE IN CANADA
However, another source revealed that the grandmother-of-one had no intention of moving to Canada to be closer to her daughter.
Furthermore, the source claimed the two women only got to see each other twice a year before the 38-year-old became royalty.
Although there are rumors of a prospective family reunion, Prince Harry and his bride are pulling it off superbly since their move to Canada with their son, with no Doria in sight.

A royal insider disclosed that the couple are enjoying their stay in Canada, and felt settled in the city, which is only a short flight from LA.
Although the adventures away from their royal protocol-filled lives just begun, the lovebirds are already in love with their newfound freedom, the source added.
Doria has slowly emerged as the silent influence behind the dramatic exit.
WHAT HAVE THE ROYAL COUPLE BEEN PLANNING?
The royalties were undoubtedly having a blast in the United States, but notwithstanding, they keep their head in the game, remaining focus on the price, which was the whole idea behind their decision in the first place. A source shared:
"Just because we're not seeing much of Harry and Meghan at the moment doesn't mean they're sitting at home, twiddling their thumbs."

DORIA RAGLAND'S ROLE IN THE SUSSEXES EXIT
The insider also revealed that the pair were working on new projects, including a charity trip to Africa.
Since Meghan and Harry announced their decisions to step down as senior royals, Doria has slowly emerged as the silent influence behind the dramatic exit.
Earlier this week, tales of the Yoga teacher's possible involvement flooded the media, tagging her as the "silent but steely" force backing her daughter and son-in-law's decision to become financially independent from the crown.

Insiders have acknowledged that the laid-back woman has gradually become a mother figure to the Prince, who has come to value her advice.
Since the royal feud began, the 63-year-old has remained calm, declining to comment on the incident. Amid contrasting opinions about Doria Ragland, one thing is sure; the royal-in-law is a force to be reckoned.
