Rebecca De Mornay's Life after She Disappeared from the Public Eye
In 1981, Rebecca De Mornay appeared in the film "One from the Heart," but it wasn't until her next role in a film that she became more popular.
According to IMDB, De Mornay's film debut was a little part in the 1981 film "One from the Heart," which failed to make much of an impact at the box office.
She then vanished from the public eye but her star-making role came two years later in the 1983 film "Risky Business," which also starred actor Tom Cruise.
The film went on to become a monster hit, and over the next few years, De Mornay would have more numerous roles, Looper reported.
She was picked to star in the 1983 film "Testament." Her fame then took a serious hit with the release of "The Slugger's Wife" opposite actor Michael O'Keefe in 1985.
After that, De Mornay co-starred in "The Trip to Bountiful" and "Runaway Train," both of which were nominated for several Academy Awards.

Later in the decade, she would star in several successful movies, including "And God Created Women," "Feds," and "Dealers."
The 1990s wouldn't see a slowdown in her career, either, though she would branch out to television films being her essential concentration in her profession.
After her relationship with Cohen, De Mornay had a relationship with Patrick O'Neal, a sports anchor.
Her prominent films and TV shows all through the 1990s include "Backdraft," "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle," and "The Outer Limits."
Earlier on in her career, De Mornay had been wedded to writer Bruce Wagner. But their marriage ended in divorce in 1990.
She then started dating singer Leonard Cohen, and the pair were engaged to be married before separating.
De Mornay once said, "Leonard Cohen was one of the greatest poets, but for me, he was also one of the most important people in my life, and losing him is like losing a limb."
After her relationship with Cohen, De Mornay, who was born Rebecca Jane Pearch in Santa Rosa, California in 1959, had a relationship with Patrick O'Neal, a sports anchor.
They had two children, daughters Sophia and Veronica, during their relationship that lasted from 1995 to 2002, in spite of the fact that they were never married.
To this day, De Mornay is still active in the entertainment industry. Her most recent film appearance came in 2016's "I Am Wrath." From 2015 to 2019, she appeared in the TV series "Jessica Jones" as Dorothy Walker.
