ON BEING A "GIRL DAD"
The proud father shared two new pictures of his little girl, one of her looking extra "cool" in a black and pink outfit looking straight at the camera, and another of the father-and-daughter duo leaning back against each other.
The term "Girl Dad" has been going around recently, and it's all because of an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant that revealed his pride in being the father of four girls.
THE ORIGIN OF THE TERM "GIRL DAD"
Kobe had always been a family man, and ESPN newscaster Ellen Duncan revealed that during the first and only time she met him, he was gushing about being a "girl dad."
At the time, Duncan asked if he and his wife Vanessa Bryant were willing to try for another baby even if it meant having another girl, he replied with a smile on his face, saying:
"I would have five more girls if I could. I'm a girl dad."
ON CONTINUING THE LEGACY
Indeed, people used to question whether or not Kobe and Vanessa hoped to have a boy, especially to carry on the Bryant legacy in the NBA.
To Kobe, he didn't have a son, because he had his girls to carry on that legacy for him. In fact, his daughter Gianna was training hard to follow in her dad's footsteps.
THE PAINFUL LOSS OF KOBE AND GIANNA BRYANT
Heartbreakingly, Kobe and Gianna passed away in a horrific helicopter crash in Calabasas California, as they were on the way to the Mamba Basketball Academy in Thousand Oaks with seven other people.
Now, the world mourns their passing, and millions of people have been sending their love and condolences to the Bryant family during this difficult time.
