Jessica Simpson Opens up about Her past Relationship with John Mayer during Interview with Hoda Kotb

Beauty mogul, author, and singer, Jessica Simpson reveals intricacies of her relationship with her ex-lover, John Mayer, who's also an entertainer.

The author of "Open Book," Jessica, was candid during her interview with Hoda Kotb on the "Today" show. Having enjoyed a love affair with John, the 39- year-old aired how she fared in the relationship during their "off and on" time together.

At first, Simpson shared the positive aspect stating how fond they were of each other even though their time together was unpredictable. Not only did they enjoy each other's company but also their intimacy. According to her:

"We were great at intimacy; we were great at loving each other...But the relationship was very complex. It was always on again…off again."

Other details of their relationship are scripted in her memoir, "Open Book." Jessica explained that she took to alcohol to deal with her relationship with John Mayer.

While they dated, John was in love with her physically, emotionally, and sexually. She wrote that her ex-boyfriend's type of love was more of an obsession.

The mother of three also talked about her experience with Justin Timberlake, who kissed her on the lips to win a bet.

He aimed to have her always by his side and to explore with her sexually, non-stop. Undeniably, John mentioned how mesmerized he was of Jessica during their courtship. He said:

"That girl is like crack cocaine to me. [...] It was crazy, that's all I'll say."

The pair began dating a year after they met, and shortly after, Jessica's status changed from married to single after the divorce from her first husband, Nick Lachey.

Apart from dealing with the "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer's obsession, the songstress also felt less confident in her intelligence whenever they were together.

Now married to Eric Johnson, whom she referred to as "selfless," it appears she has found her happy place. The pair share three children, and Jessica's current man helped her stay sober when she decided she was ready to.

During an interview on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show,'' the mother of three also talked about her experience with Justin Timberlake, who kissed her on the lips to win a bet.

Irrespective of having had several men in her life, she has managed to remain focused. Simpson has an excellent musical career, a billion-dollar clothing line, and a fabulous experience with her family.
