Extra: Kobe Bryant & Daughter Gigi Were Laid to Rest in Private Funeral Nearly 2 Weeks after Fatal Helicopter Crash
Following the tragic passing of basketball legend, Kobe Bryant and his young daughter, Gianna, a private funeral was held as the two were laid to rest.
According to Kobe Bryant's death certificate obtained by Extra, the NBA alum was laid to rest two weeks after his death alongside his daughter, Gianna who also lost her life in the helicopter crash.

The news outlet gathers that the information about the personalities who attended the private funeral is unknown but the rites took place at the Pacific View Mortuary in Corona Del Mar, California.
"Kobe Bryant and his daughter died after their helicopter crashed on their way to a basketball tournament."
However, Kobe's wife, Vanessa Bryant, shared a video of her late hubby's sister, Sharia carrying her last child and this could mean that she was in town for the funeral.
According to Heavy, Kobe's and Gianna's remains were handed over to the family a week after the unfortunate incident in Calabasas. Deputy medical examiner, Dr. Carillo listed the cause of Kobe's death as "blunt trauma."
Later this month, a memorial service in honor of the NBA star and his daughter will take place in Los Angeles. The publication shares that Mayor Eric Garcetti supported Vanessa Bryant in organizing the upcoming memorial service.
E-News shares that the public memorial will hold at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles so that fans can honor and show their respect for the departed stars.
In the days that followed the helicopter crash, fans worldwide and celebrities alike regularly shared their grieve and condolences on different social media platforms.
Kobe's Wife, Vanessa was able to put up an Instagram post where she talked about her grieving process. Describing the sad incident as a "nightmare," Bryant admitted that she was in the heartbreaking denial stage saying:
"It's like I'm trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong."
Concerning the private funeral ceremony held for the late celebrities, Inquisitr shares that a source revealed that the ceremony was "extremely hard" for Vanessa and other family members. The Source told Entertainment Tonight:
"it’s still hard for them to grasp they lost two beautiful souls."
