According to Pop Culture, the star who got the boot was Miss Monster and as it turned out, the face behind the mask was none other than the Queen of Funk, Chaka Khan.
"Over the years, Chaka has laid claim to ten Grammy awards with just as many studio albums – her most recent being "Hello Happiness," which she released in 2019."
The shocking revelation had come after the show's host, Nick Cannon, asked Miss Monster to take off her mask.
As soon as the audience saw who it was, they erupted into screams while the jaws of the judges dropped to the floor.
While judges Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger guessed correctly that it was the Queen of Funk, other judges guessed that it could be either Mary J. Blige or Dionne Warwick.

Just before her elimination from "The Masked Singer," Good Housekeeping revealed that the "Through the Fire" crooner was mostly predicted to be Molly Ringwald or Lady Gaga.
Meanwhile, Chaka's eviction came soon after Pop Culture divulged that rapper Lil Wayne was revealed as The Robot during the premiere episode.
The Robot had taken to the stage to perform the Lenny Kravitz's 1993 hit "Are You Gonna Go My Way," which had both the audience and judges dancing to.

When the time to guess the identity of the singer arrived, the Robot was in the end unmasked as Wayne. However, before the "Lollipop" rapper took off his robot head, fellow rapper, Qtip, had taken to Twitter to take a guess, and correctly predicted the identity of the singer.
Other Twitter users also took to the social media platform to share their thoughts at the early dismissal of Wayne with many stating that they loved his costume.
One user even tweeted that she and her husband knew from the get-go that The Robot was Wayne as his voice was "so unique you can't miss." The singing competition, which is in its third season, premiered after the Super Bowl weekend on February 2.
