Grief and sadness rock the crew and makers of "Love Island" as they lose one of their friends and pioneer on the show Caroline Flack. Paying tribute to the ex-host in a video post on Twitter, current host Iain Stirling said:

The video, which started with an aerial view of the ocean and waves crashing against the rocks, had a slow and melodic tune that aided the tribute that was being paid. Iain further said:

"Caroline and me were together from the very start of Love Island, and her passion, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm were a crucial part of what made this show connect with millions of viewers."

The 32-year-old also expressed that the "Long Island" team wre sending their condolences and wishes to Caroline's friends and family at the dreadful time of her demise.

He also expressed how he was trying to come to terms with her death and that his only hope is that people became kinder, always show love, and listen to one another.

Iain then went on in a shaky and teary voice to thank Caroline for the fun times they had making their favorite show and then concluded that she was a true friend to him.

The video ended with a picture of Caroline with the words, "From 1972- 2020" floating at the bottom of the image. Fans of Caroline appreciated the tribute with someone saying:

"Ian is always making jokes, but he broke my heart "when he said, 'I'm gonna miss you, Caz'" #Loveisland."

While some appreciated the tribute and left messages of their own in the comments section, others said the tribute was short and needed to be more wholesome.

Some said it needs to show significant parts of Caroline's life, especially the slow-motion walk she does into the villa on the show.

Although details of Caroline's death are still sketchy, it was suggested that it was most likely a suicide. The "Love Island" ex-host was found dead in her home a day after valentine's day.

The deceased who had been known to be vulnerable has been battling a court case with the Crown Protection Service, where she was accused of assaulting her boyfriend, 27-year-old Lewis Burton.

The day before her death, Caroline had allegedly spent Valentine's day with her friend, and celebrity hairstylist, Lou Teasdale. The two had spent the day taking pictures and being goofy.

Caroline, who had been depressed since the beginning of the assault case last year, had vowed before her death to clear her name of all allegations, something her boyfriend has promised to do for her now that she is dead.
