Cryptic posts and a big rock spotted on Shay's ring finger during a recent out with actor John Cena begs the question whether the pair secretly became engaged.

According to an eyewitness that spoke to E! News, the pair looked "very affectionate" while at a carnival in Mission Beach and said:
"John Cena [was] spotted with Shay Shariatzadeh behind him with [a] huge engagement ring on her finger. She was grabbing onto his arm the whole time."
A photo later posted by a social media user taken at Belmont Park clearly showed a ring on Shay's finger as she stood behind John, posing with a fan.
Recent social media posts by John Cena fueled the engagement rumors, as he posted a very cryptic picture on Valentine's Day:
Another image soon followed, which depicted a seemingly newlywed couple dancing in a park, but with the watermark filter, one can't positively identify the happy couple.
Shay and John made their red carpet debut as a couple in October last year, when they showed up for the premiere of John's film "Playing With Fire."
While at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York for the premiere, ET had a quick chat with the 42-year-old actor, who shared that he met the engineer during the filming of "Playing With Fire."
Feeling proud of his participation in the film, and of the date by his side, John elaborated on how special the night is for him, as he said:
"This one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special."
Previously, John had a long term relationship with Nikki Bella that ended in April 2018 after six years. The pair had been engaged for about a year at that point, and said at the time that the decision to split had been a "difficult one."
During an interview with Andy Cohen on the "Today" show, John Cena said that experiences in life, including those of the heartbreaking variety, show people who they are.
With the breakup from Nikki, John learned that it's "ok" to let himself be who he is and have boundaries.
