According to Variety, the star of “S.W.A.T.” is the new owner of a seven-bedroom home in Sherman Oaks. The spanking abode sits on half an acre of land and boasts of state of the art automation system and a comprehensive security system.

In a heartbreaking clip announcing his mother’s passing, Shemar spoke of their closeness. He would share his dreams and plans with her.

The house which measures 9,000 square feet has a poolside pavilion with two rooms. Meanwhile, among the main house’s rooms, two are master suites. One of them on the main floor opens to a backyard with a fireplace. It also has a giant walk-in closet that leads to a hidden indoor courtyard.

On the second floor are guest rooms and a family room with a wet bar and a huge terrace. The second master suite also has a terrace and a spa-style bathroom.

Shemar may also entertain guests outdoor utilizing the home’s outdoor kitchen and barbecue bar which overlooks a sprawling patch of grassy land. There’s even a putting green, a half-court basketball court, and a luxurious swimming pool. Lush trees surround the area to secure privacy.

It must have been a bittersweet home purchase for Shemar who just recently mourned the death of his beloved mother, Marilyn Moore. The former star of "Criminal Minds" went into isolation weeks after his mother’s death and later revealed he was in deep mourning.

In a heartbreaking clip announcing his mother’s passing, Shemar spoke of their closeness. He would share his dreams and plans with her.

"We had plans – our journey was already great… But, we had plans – we were almost there," he shared. It's likely one of those plans was this new house. It's unfortunate that Marilyn will never set foot there.

Shemar said Marilyn died on February 8 after suffering heart issues. He didn’t provide further details though he revealed his mother lived with multiple sclerosis.
