Tom Hanks Has Fans Worried after Revealing He & Wife Rita Wilson Tested Positive for Coronavirus
Fans shared their concern and sent their well-wishes to Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson after the couple revealed that they had tested positive for Coronavirus.
"Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. We were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive."
Tom and Rita were in Australia when they started to feel ill. Apart from a soccer player named Daniele Rugani, the couple is among the first celebrities who have spoken out about being diagnosed with the disease.
Fans have shared their shock over the news. One fan responded with crying emoji's and wished them a speedy recovery.
Rita had traveled with Tom to Australia, where he was shooting Baz Luhrmann's untitled film about Elvis Presley. He was set to play Colonel Tom Parker, who was Elvis' manager. Marlon Wayans had a comical response to the situation, saying:
"You always gotta be first. First Emmy winner, first Oscar winner, first Hollywood. Coronavirus. That one was mine damn it! I love you."
In his Instagram post, Tom said he and Rita are following the advice of medical officials to remain quarantined in Australia while they recover.
According to CNN, Warner Brothers have confirmed the news and said they are working with Australian health officials in identifying individuals who have come into contact with the couple.
