The Sexiest Man Alive Idris Elba has revealed that he has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
On March 16, 2020, actor Idris Elba took to Twitter to share the news that he tested had positive for the new Coronavirus.
Elba joins the list of celebrities who have tested positive for the virus, which includes Academy Award winner Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson; Sophie Trudeau, the wife of the Canadian Prime Minister, and "Game of Thrones" actor Kristofer Hivju.

IDRIS ELBA POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS
According to the actor, he discovered on Friday, March 13 that someone he had been in contact with had tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Elba put immediately put himself in quarantine and got himself tested and received the results of the tests on Monday, which proved to be positive, even though the actor has as yet to manifest any symptoms. He captioned the clip:
“I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.”

IDRIS ELBA SPEAKS OUT
In his first communication, the actor revealed to his Twitter followers that he had tested positive, but that he was asymptomatic and feeling well. In the background of the video, Elba's wife Sabrina Dhowre can be seen looking understandably worried.
IDRIS ELBA URGES FANS TO SELF-ISOLATE
Elba alerted his followers to the need to be especially vigilant, as many people who might be asymptomatic might still carry the virus. Therefore, Elba explained, the only way to avoid contracting the disease. is to practice social distancing, and wash hands diligently.

Elba went on to appeal to anyone who felt ill to contact medical authorities and be tested. He pointed out that the best protection is transparency, and appealed to people to show solidarity for one another at this difficult time. He said:
“Now’s the time for solidarity. Now’s the time for thinking about each other. There’s so many people whose lives have been affected.”
Elba revealed that he had already contacted his family and Sabina's as well as work colleagues with whom he had been in contact, and informed them that he had tested positive. Elba urged them all to get tested too.

SABRINA DHOWRE SUPPORTS HUSBAND
In self-isolation alongside Elba is his wife, Sabrina, whom he married in April 2019 in an exotic wedding in Marroco. Sabrina, who is Canadian, has yet to be tested but has nonetheless opted to stand by her man.
Sabrina, a Canadian national, is a model, and a former beauty queen, having won the Miss Vancouver pageant in 2014. Since her marriage to Elba, Sabrina has used her celebrity status to raise money for charities. She also actively supports the Brixton Soup Kitchen in Elba's native London.
Elba revealed that even though he had urged his wife to keep safe, Sabrina was determined to be with him and support him every step of the way. He also revealed that his wife has been tested since his first communication and does not have the virus.
Elba admitted that he and his wife were determined to be vocal about their situation, to help spread awareness of the Coronavirus, and at the same time urge people to stay calm, and not panic over the situation.

In a later communiqué, Elba alerted black people that Coronavirus affects all races after receiving dozens of messages from members of the Black Community claiming that they were immune and that contagion was race-selective.
Elba pointed out that he is a black man, and has been infected, and urged the community to take all possible precautions to avoid infection.
