Ed Asner's Tweet about Coronavirus Draws Major Response from Fans of the 'Blue Bloods' Actor

Fans were touched when the "Blue Bloods" star Ed Asner reached out to them through a reassuring tweet about coronavirus and urged them to stay strong amid the pandemic.

Most people from the corona-struck regions are currently staying home as a part of the self-quarantine approach to prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading out.

In light of the current situation that has shaken the world, actor Ed Asner took a moment to reach out to his fans through social media to let them that they matter as he urged them to stay strong.

In a tweet, Asner addressed anyone who is worried about their health or job and said that he is sending out a virtual hug to them. He also urged people to help each other during this stressful time.

Fans were happy to see Asner reaching out to everyone with a reassuring message and took to the comments section to spare some words of appreciation.

Later, the star who made his debut in "Blue Bloods" as Chuck Kennedy earlier this year, also posted a follow-up tweet thorough which he apologized for not tweeting globally.

The global pandemic has had a drastic effect on people worldwide. Asner, too, was hit hard by it since his Asner Family Center, which was recently reopened, announced that it will be closing its doors.

Many celebrities including Idris Elba, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, and Olga Kurylenko have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Recently, "Game of Thrones" star Kristofer Hivju announced that he had tested positive for corona.

The actor took to Instagram to announce that he and his family are self-isolating at home for the time being and that he only has mild symptoms of a cold. Although his symptoms are not very serious at the moment, he urged his fans to be careful.

"Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy!"
