In a video introducing her project, Erykah says “The show must go on” following the cancellation of her concerts due to the threat of the Coronavirus.

She reveals that her “Quarantine Concert Series” will be live from her bedroom as she pans the camera to give fans a glimpse of her colorful room.

Erykah recently made headlines when she showed up at the Texas Film Awards in a fashionable hazmat suit.

The show will be staged this weekend. For a mere $1, fans get to watch what is described in the clip as an “interactive live experience.” Fans were also encouraged to join a poll by requesting songs they would want her to sing.

“Our survival depends on performing, creating, laughing, living, and loving,” Erykah tells her audience. In her post’s caption, she’s optimistic. “We gone pull it off. We gone be calm. You gone help me make it happen," she writes.

Erykah’s announcement came at a time when other artists have been taking to social media and holding mini live concerts from their homes. The likes of Chris Martin and John Legend have entertained the public with their music.

Other stars got creative and read stories to their followers. This includes Frozen actor, Josh  Gadd, and actresses Amy Adams and Jennifer Garner.

Meanwhile, “The Lion King”’s Donald Glover released a surprise album for free while “Hamilton”’s Lin Manuel Miranda released a never-before-heard song from the critically acclaimed play.

Erykah has yet to share more details about her bedroom concert series which will start on March 21. The time has yet to be announced on her newly launched BaduWorldMarket.com website.
