Several celebrities, including Kandi Burruss, showed their love for Queen Latifah, via social media, when she turned 50 recently.

When Queen Latifah turned 50 on March 18, her celebrity friends were there to celebrate her with social media posts and lovely messaged.

While Tika Sumpter shared a picture to state that she loved Latifah, R.H.O.A. star, Kandi Burruss, told her followers that the celebrant was a huge inspiration.

After many years of being on top of the music scene – all nine of her albums have topped the R&B charts – Latifah set her sights on running the television scene.

To wish her a happy birthday, Marlon Wayans uploaded an image of him making a goofy face at Latifah who had her eyes closed.

Taraji P. Henson also shared a post which she used to explain that the celebrant had taught her "how to # B.O.S.S.U.P. and be a QUEEN who understands U.N.I.T.Y.!!!"

Additionally, Tiffany Haddish posted a picture that featured her, Latifah, Regina Hall, and Jada Pinkett-Smith standing beside what appeared to be a plane. Through the caption, Tiffany claimed that the "Girls Trip" star was her "friend and sister," whom she loved dearly.

Loni Love, meanwhile, took a different route by tweeting a collage of pictures that showed Latifah's life as a rapper, actress, and singer.

Amid the sweet tributes that came from her friends, Vogue added an extra touch when they called her an "icon of body positive style."

According to the site, the actress has remained in a class by herself since she began her entertainment journey back in the late '80s.

Since then, Latifah has managed to help pave the way for the women above sample size, thus becoming an example that many have followed.

As regards her birthday, it appeared that the actress is yet to mark the milestone as Daily Mail reported that Latifah was spotted rocking a protective face mask and sanitizing her hands as she made a run to the supermarket.

The "Set It Off" actress

a navy tracksuit and a baseball cap to her look, which many assumed was a way to stay safe during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
