HOW ROSS CHANNELED CHER
Ross first shared a clip from behind the scenes as her makeup artist put on her very long fake eyelashes to channel Cher. She also sampled the iconic singer’s song, “Sunny,” perfectly rendering the 73-year-old Goddess of Pop’s voice and pitch.
The following day, Ross showed the finished product via a photo of her transformation. She had long straight hair extending below her butt and wore a sheer beige dress with beaded stripes
Her long-lashed eyes with dark makeup called attention as she channeled Cher’s expression. She captioned the pic with an invitation.
“Who’s ready to laugh their [emoji] off at a new episode of @blackishabc tonight?”
It was only a while back when Ross and her co-star, Anthony Anderson delighted fans with their transformation as Beyonce and Jay Z for their show.
Ross and Anderson have great on-screen chemistry which almost didn’t happen.
ANOTHER EPIC TRANSFORMATION
The on-screen husband and wife recreated the off-screen A-list couple’s popular scene from their “Apesh*t” video where they stood in front of the painting of Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum.
The spot-on tribute to Beyonce and Jay Z was for another episode of “Black-ish” which aired on March 17. Ross alerted fans by sharing a photo of the epic recreation.
THE ON-SCREEN TANDEM THAT ALMOST DIDN'T HAPPEN
Ross and Anderson have great on-screen chemistry which almost didn’t happen. The talented daughter of Diana Ross once admitted she was hesitant to be part of “Black-ish” because she didn’t want to work with Anthony.
“If you know Anthony, he has a gruff exterior, and he does not have an inner-governor, and Anthony says stuff that is not that appropriate all the time,” Ross revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, speaking about her poor impression of her co-star. She added that if you didn’t know Anderson any better, he would “come off as rude.”
However, Ross’s view of Anderson changed after they auditioned together. She admitted having “a different experience of him” and described their chemistry as “like magic.” Today, Ross considers Anderson as one of her favorite people to work it.
