Kelly Ripa Reveals Her Gray Strands in Candid Pic Shared during Social Distancing Amid Coronavirus Crisis
“Live With Kelly and Ryan” host Kelly Ripa is sticking to self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic, and she has her natural gray roots to prove it.
The 49-year-old talk show host updated followers on the status of her hair, which attests to the length of her self-quarantine in a candid post she shared on her Instagram Story.
GOING BACK TO HER ROOTS
Avoiding salon visits, for the time being, Kelly showed how much gray is peeking out from her roots in what she called “root watch week one.”
The mirror selfie clearly showed her natural gray, but Kelly felt more concerned about a “very serious medical problem” last week.
KELLY STAYS POSITIVE AMID THE PANDEMIC
Finding humor during this trying time, Kelly visited Dr. Robert Anolik to sort out her “botox deficiency.” Dr. Anolik joked that the deficiency has many side effects, including wrinkles and lines, and Kelly thought it brave that he agreed to treat her “acute Botox deficiency syndrome.”
“In this time, we can notice that there’s been a lot of worrying. You can see it’s written all over my face,” Kelly added.
Although Kelly is keeping positive through humor, she also takes what others are going through amid the spread of the coronavirus seriously.
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
According to reports by PEOPLE, Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos donated $1 million towards relief efforts in New York.
New York is one of the states profoundly affected by the outbreak, and the funds will go towards additional and much-needed ventilators, while another portion of the donated funds will go to WIN, the largest shelter provider for homeless families in the state.
However, Kelly not only keeps her mind healthy with a positive outlook but also makes sure to keep her body healthy as well.
HOW KELLY STAYS FIT AND HEALTHY
In an interview for Harper’s Bazaar, the 49-year-old dished on her daily habits, which includes a workout and keeping to a strict diet.
Starting her day with a mix of water and powdered greens to alkaline her digestive system, she also adds ghee to her morning cup of coffee while not forgetting about her morning supplements packed with probiotic and ginger.
Brunch follows after her workout, and it usually consists of a microgreen salad with toasted nuts and avocado. Supper is a mini version of brunch, but Kelly also adds a plant-based protein to the mix.
When it comes to snacking, Kelly keeps nuts like raw pistachios, cashews, and almonds handy, but she also indulges in her favorite treat - chocolate chia pudding.
Last month, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa's son Joaquin turned 17. The couple's oldest two children, Michael and Lola, had already gone off to college, and the talk show host paid a sweet tribute to Joaquin on social media.
While wishing her son a happy birthday, she couldn't help but infuse some humor and added:
"This is your life my newborn, or at least what I have stored on my phone ??????"
