The reality TV personality continues falling in a downward spiral as she deals with legal and substance abuse problems, and it has recently surfaced that she has been estranged from her loved ones.

Since her arrest in March 2019 on drug possession charges among others in the company of her boyfriend Eugene Doak, 40-year-old “Mama” June Shannon has kept making headlines for all the wrong reasons, to her fans’ concern.

Now, Shannon’s fans have gotten a new glimpse at the reality TV star’s situation in the last months with the return of her series “Mama June: From Not to Hot,” revamped as “Mama June: Family Crisis.”

The first episode of the renewed show featured June’s daughters Lauryn, 20, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 14, and the sisters confirmed that they haven’t been able to contact their mother in a long time.

According to Lauryn, who has become her younger sister’s legal guardian since June was arrested, the mother-of-four has refused to answer their calls and constantly gives poor excuses for doing so.

Lauryn expressed her frustrations about her mother not accepting any of the help she has been offered to deal with her fallout, and she worries about the legal consequences of June’s behavior.

“The bad thing about it is everything and anything that was in the car, or whatever they got arrested for, June took credit for all of it,” Lauryn’s husband Joshua Efird added.

GAMBLING WITH HER HEALTH

June’s sister, known as Doe Doe, also made an appearance in the episode, revealing that the former still lives with Doak in Alabama, where all they do is gambling:

“Why come home when they can go to the casino and Geno can spend all the money? How much more money are they gonna blow through before she is completely broke?”

And to the financial toll that this gambling addiction can mean for June, we can add the indiscretion of the rogue couple to keep visiting casinos in the middle of the coronavirus crisis, when people are strongly advised to stay home.

On March 19, 2020, when much of the US and the world was already observing the recommended social distancing, June and Doak were spotted hanging out in a Florida casino like nothing is happening.
