Jim Carrey, who is currently observing self-isolation, shared a close-up selfie of himself on Twitter, and informed his fans that he would be growing a beard while he stays at home.
Jim Carrey has enjoyed a career that spans over four decades, and his showmanship in movies and television has genuinely entertained fans.
The two time Golden Globe winner is now turning to another medium to help keep his fan's spirits up as they go through self-quarantine.

On Monday, Jim Carrey took to his Twitter account to announce that he is starting the journey of growing a beard and will be documenting the whole process for his 18.5 million followers.
The legendary actor accompanied the post with a selfie of himself wearing a black T-shirt and wrote:
"Day 1. I'm growing a beard until we all go back to work. I'll post reg pics so you can marvel at the miracle of my meaningless transformation…"

The tweet garnered numerous comments, with Masie Williams responding with her own quarantine goal, saying, "Gonna do this with my armpits xx."
Carrey's revelation comes after the Centers for Disease Control, recently recommended that men shave their beards as it could interfere with the efficiency of a facepiece respirator.
The actor recalls how he thought he had 10 minutes to live after a missile warning.
Jim has gone fuzzy a few times in the past, with the most notable, been his 2016 rugged but dapper look when he presented at the Golden Globe Awards.
Despite Jim's outward comedic displays, his private world and past are littered with much pain. During a 2004 interview with CBS, Jim was asked how he discovered his sense of humor, and he said:
"Depression. I had a sick mom, man. I wanted to make her feel better."
Amongst other sad events growing up, Carrey also had to deal with the apparent suicide of his girlfriend, Cathriona White.
The couple began dating in 2012, in what quickly became a rocky relationship, as they dated on and off for three years before White's painful death. On a lighter note, Jim himself had quite a "close shave" with death on a trip to Hawaii.

In an exclusive People clip of an upcoming episode of "The Graham Norton Show," the actor recalls how he thought he had 10 minutes to live after a missile warning was sent out by a Hawaii agency.
The message caused widespread panic online, but it was later confirmed that it was a false missile alert by the Honolulu police department.
