Medical Staff Cheers as 94-Year-Old Woman Admitted for COVID-19 Is Discharged from the Hospital

Medical staff couldn’t hold their excitement as an older woman, who was previously diagnosed with COVID-19, got discharged from the hospital.

In a time when people are looking for any form of good news, the medical staff at the Parc Tauli Hospital in Sabadell warmed many hearts with their recent show of excitement.

According to Good Morning America, members of the medical staff, who were excited to see a 94-year-old woman get discharged from the hospital eight days after she was admitted for COVID-19, broke into cheers and applause.

The New York Fire Department took an opportunity to applaud healthcare workers and medical staff for their continuous efforts at combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the clip shared via Twitter via the hospital’s page, people got to see the older woman making her way out of a corner of the hospital with the aid of two medical staff.

The woman was soon placed in a wheelchair and rolled towards the hospital’s doors where more people were waiting to cheer her on.

Meanwhile, on Instagram, the hospital shared several images of the medical staff posing for the camera in their cover-ups.

In the photos uploaded, the members of the healthcare team appeared to be smiling behind their masks as they threw up the peace sign.

In slightly similar news, Independent reported that the New York Fire Department took an opportunity to applaud healthcare workers and medical staff for their continuous efforts at combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

In several clips shared via Twitter, FDNY firefighters turned up in their numbers at different hospitals around New York City to give healthcare staff getting off their shift, a standing ovation.

The tributes took place outside of Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, Mount Sinai Morningside, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, with the firefighters standing on fire trucks and in the streets as they clap for the healthcare workers.

One person who shared one of the heartwarming videos captioned it:

“This is incredibly touching. @FDNY firefighters gather outside a New York hospital to applaud doctors and nurses who are fighting on the front lines of Covid-19.”

In another footage shared by The Guardian, hundreds of thousands of people living in New York were seen applauding those who were on the frontline of the pandemic

The event, which occurred back in March, saw people clapping and cheering from their balconies and windows.
