Jeannie Mai of 'The Real' and Rapper Jeezy Got Engaged during Quarantine Date Night
Jeannie Mai of "The Real" fame, and her boyfriend, rapper Jeezy, are now engaged after the latter popped the question on a quarantine date night, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Jeannie Mai is on cloud nine, and has every reason to be, after her boyfriend Jeezy proposed to her, and she said yes. The television personality took to her Instagram page to share the news with her fans. She wrote:
"I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life loving you….YES."

Accompanying Jeannie Mai's caption was a picture of her, and Jeezy from a date night they had at home, due to the quarantine necessitated by the coronavirus pandemic.
In the picture, Jeannie Mai was all smiles, holding on to Jeezy's hand as they posed on the sands outside the rapper's house. She wore a blue dress with golden embroidery on the front.
Jeezy, on the other hand, wore a white jacket, complete with white pants and white sneakers. He accessorized his look with dark shades.
Although the couple only confirmed their engagement on April 6, they actually got engaged on March 27. The lovebirds have been dating for over a year now, and the engagement would have their fans super excited.
Jeannie said that they were attracted to each other's passion for service.
Jeezy initially planned to propose to his belle during a scheduled trip to Vietnam this month but had those plans halted because of the ravaging pandemic that placed restrictions on travel.
The rapper, however, made plans to propose to Jeannie during a quarantine date night in his home. A representative of Jeezy's fiancée said about the proposal:
"Jay decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie with a surprise date night in his home, filled with Vietnamese food and décor."
The engagement opens a new chapter of the couple's relationship, which began in 2018, when they first met at Jeannie's talk show, "The Real," after which they began to see each other quietly.
Rumors soon began to fly out that they were an item, but Jeannie moved to deny those claims, saying that they only just hang out a lot, and that the rapper was special to her, and they were having a good time.
The couple did, however, go public with their romance in August 2019, walking the red carpet of a gala together, while Jeezy made the talk show host his "Woman Crush Wednesday" on Instagram, in September.
In an interview with People in November 2019, Jeannie said that she and Jeezy had enough experiences in life to have a connection and understanding of the true meaning of love.
She also said that they were attracted to each other's passion for service and that such mutual passion led them to want to explore ways of doing it together.
