Vanessa Bell Calloway of 'Coming 2 America' Has a Daughter Ashley Who Looks like Her Younger Self

"Coming to America" star Vanessa Bell Calloway is fondly remembered for her role in the movie. She has two daughters and one of them looks exactly like her mother in her youthful days.

Fans of the 1988 movie, "Coming to America," will remember Vanessa Bell, who starred as Imani Izzi, the betrothed wife of Prince Akeem. The actress has come of age since the release of the now-famous movie.

Vanessa Bell is a proud mother of two daughters, Ashley and Alexandria, whom she shares with her husband, Dr. Anthony Calloway, with whom the actress has been married to since 1988.

Ashley is already building a name for herself in the entertainment world and starred in BET's reality TV series, "Baldwin Hills," which ran from 2007-2009. Apart from having her mother's talent, Ashley also shares a striking resemblance with Bell.

A January 10 post on the youngster's Instagram page showed this striking resemblance. In the picture, they both looked glowingly beautiful in their gorgeous dresses at the 2020 Golden Globes Awards. Ashley captioned:

Ashley shared another picture, recently, to celebrate National Siblings Day. In it, she posed with her sister, Alexandra. They looked dazzling, posing in chic outfits in front of a mirror, with Ashley captioning the post, "So Us."

Vanessa Bell recently starred in the movie, "Harriet," where she portrayed the role of the mother of the iconic Harriet Tubman. Ashley paid tribute to her mother's portrayal of that character in a post on Instagram.

Vanessa believes one of the keys to a successful marriage is both partners having somewhere to go every morning.

Sharing several pictures of herself and her mother, including one in which they shared a kiss, 30-year-old Ashley said that she was proud of her mother's role in the movie, and beckoned on fans to go and see it.

Ashley Calloway is also an entrepreneur, and in an interview with VoyageLA, she spoke about her family's business, "Regency West," which she currently helps her father to run as the general manager and owner.

Vanessa Bell was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in 2009. The condition is an early stage of breast cancer and led the actress to have two lumpectomies and a mastectomy to get rid of.

After reconstructive surgery, the 63-year-old is now cancer-free and shared her experience with the deadly disease in a 2015 exclusive article on Ebony.

Vanessa Bell remains happily married to her husband, Anthony, with the couple has been together for over thirty years, and has found a way to make their union work despite having demanding careers.
