In her caption, Gealey gave an insight into her love story with Trai, whom she described as a maverick. According to her, their love thrived because they never tried to copy other people and remained true to themselves.

Grace also expressed her love for Byers while adding that she adored all parts of him, just like he adored all parts of her. She concluded by writing:

Back in 2018, Gealey celebrated their anniversary by reflecting on their wedding day. She also shared a photo of their celebratory anniversary dinner.

One of the photos was accompanied by a caption where Grace revealed that Trai taught her a selfless, and godly type of love. She concluded by stating that her life was forever changed because of Byers' presence in it.

On "Empire," Gealey acts as Anika Calhoun, who Taraji P. Henson's character, Cookie Lyon, gave the nickname, "Boo Boo Kitty."

The couple reportedly started dating after meeting on the set of the TV series, "Empire." A source explained that the two lovebirds had experienced an instant attraction to each other on set.

Even though Byers and Gealey didn't confirm if they were dating or not, the source revealed that they didn't hide their affection for each other. He said:

"....people working on the show are aware of it. When they all hang out together, they'll cuddle and give a kiss, but it's nothing obscene."

The couple got engaged in 2015 and eventually tied the knot in a private Grand Cayman wedding on April 14, 2016.

Although they had only about 50 guests at the wedding, a source revealed that it had been a fantastic ceremony. He also mentioned that some of the cast of "Empire" was in attendance.

On "Empire," Gealey acts as Anika Calhoun, who Taraji P. Henson's character, Cookie Lyon, gave the nickname, "Boo Boo Kitty."

Byers, however, plays the character of Andre Lyon, the son of Lucious Lyon, whom "Anika" was engaged to.
