The video begins with her acknowledging her fans while dedicating the performance to those of them who have been making requests for her to perform the song.

She launched into the song after warning her fans that she was only going to perform it once, and though she was the only person caught on camera, there seemed to be a few background singers who lent their voices to the performance. Hudson captioned the post:

"We gone fight! At your request ! Yal know who u r ! Fun fact time ! This song was written by @therealtank."

Fans of the award-winning actress took to the comments section with praises and compliments for the musician as most agreed that she did justice to the song. A fan wrote: "Ur voice blesses my soul each time. Thank you."

The rendition did not come as a surprise to fans who have been receiving free concerts from the singer since the beginning of the quarantine.

Hudson's performance on Saturday comes as part of the Lady Gaga's Global Citizen concert.

Earlier in March, the R&B singer performed a virtual concert on Instagram Live as a part of Global Citizen's "Together At Home" concert series.

She kicked off the performance with a version of "Impossible Dream," and continued with renditions of "All In Love Is Fair" and "Amazing Grace."

Later in April, she once again teamed up with the Global Citizen: Together At Home concert to perform her solo, "Memory," from the movie "Cats."

Hudson was dressed casually for the performance in a peach-colored top and cardigan. She also had her long braided brunette tresses styled over to one side while a headphone piece sat on the other side.

She kept her makeup simple with a brush of mascara and a sweep of blush. Hudson's performance on Saturday comes as part of the Lady Gaga's Global Citizen concert.
