Queen Latifah of 'Set It off' Wishes Her Grandmother Happy Birthday in a Sweet Post
Queen Latifah wishes her grandmother, whom she calls NaNa, happy birthday by sharing an adorable picture of both of them.
The beauty of family is how genetics is passed from one generation to the next such that when a person comes across people from a specific family, they are easy to identify because of their looks.
In a recent picture shared by Queen Latifah on her Instagram account, it is impossible to miss the striking resemblance between herself and her grandmother, who is celebrating her birthday.

In the picture, the "Set if Off" star can be seen standing next to a beautiful older woman who looked stunning in an all-black ensemble, which she topped off with a white knitted beret and neckpiece.
Queen Latifah looked incredible also as she was casually dressed wearing grey joggers, a white t-shirt, and a red and black plaid jacket with her headphones hanging out. She captioned the post saying:
"Happy Birthday, NaNa!!!!? of our Family ❤️????????."
Although Queen Latifah did not indicate if NaNa was her paternal or maternal grandmother, some in the comments section assumed she was from the maternal side as she bore an uncanny resemblance to the actress's mother.
Sadly, Rita Owens, who happened to be Queen Latifah's mother, died almost two years ago from complications of a heart-related illness she had battled for years. The loss was tough on Queen Latifah.
Queen Latifah and Eboni welcomed a baby together earlier in the year.
Lovers of Queen Latifah took to the comments section of the post to send their birthday wishes to NaNa. Most prayed and wished her a more extended life filled with blessings.
Some people also commented on how much they look alike, with some asserting that they were sure Queen Latifah's grandmother was proud of all that she had accomplished. Someone said:
"I know it’s got to be the greatest thing in the world for your grandmother to see all that you have accomplished."
It is fantastic that Queen Latifah still has someone to look up to as a mother figure. After the death of her mother, the actress/musician was devastated as she admitted that her mother was the love of her life.
Asides from losing her mother, Queen Latifah also lost her brother in a motorcycle accident back in 1992. The experience led her into depression, but with the help of her mom and family members, she was able to recover.
Although she likes to keep her relationship life private, there have been rumors that she is in a relationship with choreographer Eboni Nichols.
While the two have not openly acknowledged the relationship, they have been spotted together many times, and it is believed that Queen Latifah and Eboni welcomed a baby together earlier in the year.
