Fantasia's Daughter Zion Is Mom's Lookalike as She Flaunts Braided Hair in New Videos

Fantasia Barrino's daughter bears a strong resemblance to her — the 18-year-old stunned in her new social media update.

Fantasia Barrino's daughter, Zion, is now legally a young adult, and she enjoys grooming herself.

The 18-year-old recently posted a video on her Instagram story that showed off her braided hair. The video was followed with another that saw her expressing her desire to get lashes and a pedicure.

Zion was born on August 8, 2001, to Barrino and Brandel Shouse. She celebrated her 18th birthday last year, and in celebration, her mom took to her Instagram page with a birthday tribute for her.

Barrino shared a montage of photos and videos that featured her daughter, and her caption gave a flashback of their most memorable memories:

"I remember the day my water broke, it was the scariest feeling in the world..."

Barrino continued with the write-up, revealing how terrified she had been and why — she had been a teenager at the time, and she had no idea what to expect from the delivery as it came earlier than expected.

The proud mother also shared humorous memories of Zion when she was just 3-year-old, including her rivalry with the family pet, Diva.

She initially denied knowing Cook was married.

According to Barrino, Zion would always hit Diva, and when the dog hit back, she would run to her crying, "Diva Said, Diva Said." Of course, Barrino always told her Diva couldn't communicate that way — much to little Zion's dismay.

In another post, the mom revealed how hard she was taking her daughter hitting the milestone. "I'm having a hard time with this 18 thing," she captioned a throwback photo of Zion as a toddler.

Aside from Zion, Barrino also has a boy child she welcomed in December 2011. He is named Dallas Xavier Barrino, and he was born at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.

He weighed in at 7 lbs 9 ounces, measuring 21 inches. Barrino announced her pregnancy in August 2011 at a Florida concert.

At the time of her announcement, she had been vague about the identity of her child's father. However, she was thought to be romantically linked to Antwaun Cook, a married man she saw around 2010.

She initially denied knowing Cook was married; however, Fantasia later testified in a child custody case filed by Cook's wife that she'd known from the beginning of their relationship that he was married.

Barrino is now happily married to Kendall Taylor, a businessman. The two officially tied the knot on July 18, 2015.
