Angela Simmons of 'Growing Up Hip-Hop' Says She Needs Son Sutton's Approval before Dating Anyone

Angela Simmons of "Growing Up Hip-Hop" reveals she won't date anyone without getting her son Sutton's approval first.

Although Angela Simmons is open to dating after the quarantine is over, she's not doing so without getting her son's approval first. In fact, she has a list of qualities that are non-negotiables for her when beginning to date someone.

"I want to date. I'm open to it. The guy would have to have certain qualities. He has to definitely be a family man, god-fearing, funny, established, it's a long list."

GETTING SUTTON'S APPROVAL

Once she's found someone with the qualities she's looking for in a guy, it doesn't end there. She claims her son Sutton would have to give his approval, as she doesn't want anybody around her son if he doesn't like that person.

The "Growing Up Hip Hop" star is a proud mom to Sutton Jr., whom he shares with ex-boyfriend Sutton Tennyson who was shot in his Atlanta home in 2018. Since then, she's had her fair share of dating, which has been aired on her reality TV show.

DRAMA ON THE SHOW

After the show hinted of a love triangle between Romeo Miller, Bow Wow, and Simmons, Miler bowed out of the show as he is not satisfied with the way the series is being directed. In fact, he does not approve of the show stirring up drama between co-stars which led him to quit.

As she is not dating anybody as of the moment, Angela has been focusing on practicing self-love and body positivity.

ROMEO AND ANGELA'S FRIENDSHIP

With Simmons and Miller not in speaking terms because of their issues, it seems she's been getting up close with Bow Wow and are looking to rekindle their relationship. However, this was back in March and it seems the tides have changed since then.

Romeo Miller has always been open about his love for Simmons, as he would love for their friendship to become a relationship. However, through the years, Simmons has kept him in the friend zone and it's been that way ever since.

As she is not dating anybody as of the moment, Angela has been focusing on practicing self-love and body positivity. According to the star, there is "nothing more beautiful than a confident woman" and that's something she's been living by.
