Angela Simmons encouraged self-love in a bikini post as she admits embracing her body in spite of her fluctuating weight.
Angela Simmons is keeping a positive outlook and she encourages others to do the same. The daughter of Rev Run took to her Instagram this week to share photos of her bikini-clad curves and promote body positivity.
"There’s nothing more beautiful than a confident woman!"
BRIMMING WITH CONFIDENCE
The 32-year-old mom shared that she’s far from perfect but she learned to accept her body as it is. Though judging from her photos where she’s wearing a skimpy pink bra top and an orange string bikini, she has no reason to feel insecure about her figure.
In her caption, the “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star confessed there are days her weight fluctuates and she’s not sure about her body, claiming she doesn’t have six-pack abs. However, she has come to terms with that.

Speaking about herself in the third person, the shoe designer wrote,
“Throughout this all she’s learned to love herself unconditionally... because if she didn’t who would ? She is me . And I am her ... My strength is rooted deeper than the surface.”
Angela continued by encouraging others to love their body. “Wherever you stand with it. It’s not easy. But it’s worth it. You are worth it. You don’t have to be what anyone (society) tells you to be,” she explained. To end her powerful message, she added,
“You can be YOU freely. There’s nothing more beautiful than a confident woman! Built not Bought.”
THRIVING IN QUARANTINE
Angela is currently making the most of her quarantine time, promoting her new skincare line by testing her face serums on herself. She’s also been experimenting on her hair and doing her own makeup, the results of which she shared on her social media.
More recently, Angela revealed on her Instagram stories that she’s planning to go on a 10-day detox by the week’s end. This in tandem with her yoga routine would definitely do wonders for her fitness.
COPING AS A SINGLE PARENT
Angela is a single parent to her three-year-old son, Sutton Jr. whose father, Sutton Tennyson was shot to death in 2018. The reality star admits, being a single mom takes a toll on her especially during these times of uncertainty.
“Mom is tired!!! Pray for single parents. Motherhood on a trillion. Day by day,” she wrote to caption a photo of her with Sutton Jr. in her car.
Angela has had to deal with the aftermath of her former fiancé’s death alone, including having to explain to her son why his father will never be around.
The day she told him Sutton was already in heaven was particularly emotional for the typically happy child. But Angela reassured him that everything will be okay.
