James Pickens of 'Grey's Anatomy' and Wife Gina Taylor Are Doting Parents to Their Daughter Gavyn

James Pickens, who stars in ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," shares his daughter, Gavyn, with his wife and former music group member, Gina Taylor, and they never hesitate to show her off.

Popularly-loved "Dr. Richard Webber" from ABC's medical television drama series "Grey's Anatomy," adores his daughter, Gavyn, who is also an actress.

The actor never hesitates to take to social media to show off his darling girl. In 2018, Pickens shared a sweet father-daughter picture with Gavyn and wrote:

"...it's #nationaldaughterday so here's a pic of me and @thegavyntaylor I love you and I am so proud to be your dad."

The highly flattered Gavyn gave her proud father a big hug from behind while both of them, dressed in a matching subtle gray, gave vibrant smiles to the camera in the picture.

In September 2017, when he hosted the fiftieth anniversary of the Negro Ensemble Company, he shared a stunning family photo with Gavyn and his wife, Gina Taylor, who was also an actress and a former member of the music group, "Musique."

During the Christmas celebrations in 2018, Pickens shared a sweet photo with Gavyn Gina by his side. The actor never hesitated to praise his beautiful family, especially Gavyn, publicly.

James and Gina are the poster couple for a wholesome marriage.

Gavyn, the proud daughter of two celebrities, followed in their footsteps and chased a career path in acting. At thirty-two, she has already carved out her place in the industry.

The actor's career began in his hometown, Cleveland, at the Karamu House, which is referred to as the oldest African-American theater in America.

From Cleveland, he moved to New York to find a rosier path in the industry, and that he did. In 2005, James joined the cast of "Grey's Anatomy" as "Richard Webber," alongside actresses Ellen Pompeo and Sandra Oh.

Pickens quickly became a stable cast member and went on to stick around for over ten years for sixteen seasons. In the fourteenth season of the show, Gavyn guest-starred as Lila in an episode titled "All of Me."
