Téa Leoni and David Duchovny Divorced Five Years Ago — inside Her Personal Life These Days
Tea Leoni separated from her ex-husband David Duchovny in 2008, reconciled, and separated again in 2011, yet the actress claims she could never hate him.
Tea Leoni was twice married and twice divorced, but unlike her failed marriages, her Hollywood career was colorful and successful.
LIFE AND CAREER
Leoni was born and raised in New York City to a lawyer and nutritionist. She attended Brearley School and The Putney School before going to Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied psychology and anthropology.

Although her parents were not in the industry, Leoni’s grandmother worked as a Broadway actress, which influenced the “Frasier” star’s career path.
She first auditioned for a television show in the ‘80s as a dare by her friend. Although she landed the part, the series never made it to the screen.
However, her experience began her career, and later she appeared on the soap “Santa Barbara.” In the early ‘90s, she appeared in the films “Switch” and “A League of Their Own.”

The pair began as workout buddies, but it seemed that they have developed even more in their relationship.
Her big break came in 1995 when she was cast as Julie Mott in the movie “Bad Boys,” alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
Leoni’s acting career soared in the following years as she starred in “Deep Impact,” “The Family Man,” “Jurassic Park III,” “Spanglish,” and “Fun with Dick and Jane.”

Her most recent television show is “Madam Secretary,” where she took on the role of Elizabeth McCord, and just ended its sixth and final season.
Not only did the show bring Leoni more success in being an actress, but a new love life with her co-star Tim Daly, following her divorce in 2014.
LEONI’S MARRIAGE TO DUCHOVNY
In 1991, the “Madam Secretary” star tied the knot with Neil Joseph Tardio Jr. but had a union that only lasted four years.
On May 6, 1996, the actress married David Duchovny and welcomed two children together, a daughter named Madelaine, and a son named Kyd.
For nearly two decades, the former couple remained married but experienced problems and separations. Their initial breakup happened in 2008 as the actor sought treatment for his sex addiction.

Eventually, the pair reconciled and gave their marriage another shot. However, they separated again in June 2011.
Finally, in 2014, Leoni and Duchovny decided to part ways for good by filing for a divorce, citing “an irretrievable breakdown” as the grounds.
Despite being separated for years, the mother-of-two can’t find it in her heart to hate her ex-husband because of the love they once shared and the two amazing children they have.
The “Ghost Town” actress knows that every relationship has its ups and downs, that may sometimes lead to an end, but for her and Duchovny, their kids are more important than whatever feud they had.
“DIVORCED AND LIKING IT”
In an interview, as told by ABC, the actress said her marital status was “divorced and liking it, thank you.” Letting go of her failed relationship was complicated but allowed her to breathe more.
In 2018, the mother-of-two took her children to the 14th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City, where they smiled and posed on the red carpet.
Madeline looked beautiful, taking after her mother with long blonde locks. The teen wore a sparkling silver gown while she stood next to the actress.
Meanwhile, Kyd wore a black tuxedo with a patterned bow, which he matched with black Chuck Taylor sneakers.
LIFE AFTER DIVORCE
A few years after Leoni and Duchovny’s divorce, the actor sparked rumors about his new girlfriend, Monique Pendleberry, who was caught spending time with him in Vancouver.
The pair began as workout buddies, but it seemed that they have developed even more in their relationship.

Duchovny, like his ex-wife, is in the same industry as an actor who starred in “X-Files,” “Twin Peaks,” “Working Girl,” and “Chaplin.”
Although he did not make it big in Hollywood, he starred in “Californication” for seven seasons, as well as “Return to Me” and “Zoolander.”
Despite being divorced and seeing other people romantically, Leoni and Duchovny remain friends for their children's sake.
