By 9 pm on Tuesday, the season finale began, and fans were finally able to see their favorite ex-coaches appear on the show again. Apart from the former coaches, the current coaches, Blake Shelton, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Nick Jonas, were also in attendance for the virtual episode.

As if their presence was not enough, the four coaches gave viewers a powerful rendition of "Let My Love Open The Door" alongside Shakira, Rexha, Green, and the five final contestants.

Even though the finale was different from past ones, fans were still given the same experience they would have gotten from a live studio show.

After all of the stunning performances, the time came for a winner to be announced. With all contestants surrounded by friends and family in their homes, the host, Carson Daly, announced Todd Tilghman as the winner.

Todd, who was a member of "Team Blake" throughout the season, got immense support from the legendary singer. Right from the blind auditions, Shelton had somewhat predicted the contestant's win. After speaking about how much he loved his voice, Blake said:

"I think Todd is special, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the finals."

Although the episode was aired successfully, there were a few technical difficulties with Blake's microphone at some point.

However, it was impressive that there was a seamless combination of twenty-one live streams from across the United States, yet the show ran smoothly.

Tilghman's victory makes Blake retain his record as the highest winning coach in the reality show's history. With a total of seven wins, he is no doubt the undisputed champion of NBC "The Voice."
