CNN's Don Lemon Lovingly Blows Kiss to Mom Katherine Clark during a FaceTime Call

Don Lemon recently captured himself blowing a kiss to his mother during a Facetime call. The mother-son duo enjoy spending time with each other despite the distance between them!

Amid the ongoing social distancing guidelines, celebrities and people all over the United States have devised ways to keep up with their loved ones. CNN's Don Lemon is one of such people.

In a recent Instagram post, Lemon shared a photo of himself sweetly blowing a kiss to his mother, Katherine Clark, over Facetime.

The blurry image saw Clark staring at her son through the phone with a pair of glasses on while a smaller image of Don appeared at the top of the screen.

In his caption, the doting son gave an insight into the video call session while thanking God that he could connect with his mom over Facetime amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. He concluded by writing:

"She's gonna be so mad I posted her with glasses & hair & makeup off fleek."

The adorable mother-son moment garnered comments from fans and followers of Lemon, including Katherine herself, who also left a response.

While replying to the last part of her son's caption, Clark wrote, "you're wrong for that!!! However, I still love you to the moon and back!!!!." Another user sweetly added that the older woman was gorgeous with some others leaving heart emojis under the post.

A few years after coming out, Don and Tim Malone got engaged.

Over the years, Lemon's close relationship with his mother has been public information with the duo affectionately showing love to each other as much as they can.

During the recent Mother's day celebration, Don and his colleagues at CNN paid tribute to the women in their lives in a heartwarming clip. While speaking, Don said:

"I usually spend this time of the year with my mother because I bring her up to New York City so I can spend mother's day with her."

Also, to celebrate mothers, TV personality Jimmy Kimmel recruited some celebrities, including Lemon, to read memorable text messages they had received from their mothers.

Don recalled a time he and his mother were separately watching the movie "Giant" when she sent a text message that read:

"Sal Mineo had a big [expletive] head, although he was attractive."

While speaking about the struggles faced by the African American community during an episode of "CNN Tonight," Lemon revealed that even though he was now a grown man, his mother still worried about him.

In another episode of the show, Katherine and her son spoke on the emotional journey they experienced while tracing back their roots in Africa.

Back in 2011, Don publicly made an announcement where he revealed that he was gay. While speaking, the then 45-year-old explained that he was ready to come out to live his reality and truth.

Lemon also explained that although he had been terrified to disclose the truth about his sexuality to his mother, she had supported him positively once he finally did.

A few years after coming out, Don met Tim Malone, a real estate agent, and by April 2019, the couple got engaged.
