CNN's Don Lemon Pays Sweet Tribute to Mom Katherine Clark on Mother's Day

Don Lemon joined other celebrities in greeting his mother Katherine on Mother's Day. The CNN anchor shared a slideshow of images revealing the important role his mother plays in his life. 

Don Lemon bared his soft spot for his mother as he commemorated Mother’s Day with a special shoutout for her.

Don shared a slide show of photos showing Katherine’s valuable presence in his life.  She’s clearly supportive of his relationship with his fiancé, Tim Malone. A photo of the three of them attending an event proves it.

Don also shared a throwback photo during his graduation where Katherine was in attendance.   A family Christmas photo to the slide show as well as a photo of the two of them having beers.

In his caption, Don described his mom as “a lady who’s always there for me and our family for advice, a laugh, a cry, a hug or just a beer.” He ended it with “Love you mom.”

Don’s toast to Katherine, who joined him in an emotional journey to Africa a few years back, didn’t end there. In a special clip prepared by his home station, CNN, he greeted Katherine with a sweet “Happy Mother’s Day Mom” alongside other CNN stars.

Moreover, he participated in Jimmy Kimmel’s tribute to mothers by reading a text he received from Katherine in the past.

Don opted to share the one Katherine sent him while they were simultaneously watching the movie “Giant.” She had messaged him, “Sal Mineo had a big ass head. Although he was attractive.”

The compilation which Jimmy prepared over the past few months in time for Mother’s Day also featured hilarious texts submitted by Gwyneth Paltrow, Will Arnett, Elle Fanning, Renee Zellweger, and January Jones.

Mother’s Day this year saw mothers longing to hug their children due to the restrictions posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tina Knowles-Lawson was feeling melancholic days leading to the special occasion because she hadn’t seen her family including her daughter Beyonce and her grandchildren due to quarantine protocols.

Tina was hopeful that she would finally see her family after they also tested negative for the virus. Regardless, she was honored by Beyonce and her other daughter, Kelly Rowland, with special Mother’s Day tributes on social media.
