Matthew McConaughey Delivers 110,000 Face Masks to Rural Hospitals throughout Texas
Texas native Matthew McConaughey delivered over 100,000 face masks around his hometown after Lincoln donated them to different rural hospitals.
The coming months seem as though facemasks are about to become a must-wear protective gear when going out, and especially in hospitals.
The rapid increase in the need for face masks around the globe created a scarcity and price increase for the commodity as the coronavirus pandemic continues to threaten millions of people’s lives.

MCCONAUGHEY DELIVERS FACE MASKS
On Thursday, Lincoln donated 110,000 face masks to hospitals around Texas and had their spokesperson and Texas native, Matthew McConaughey, deliver them.
The actor thanked the car company on social media for their generous donation in a post that included a picture of him and his wife, Camila Alves, in a pick-up truck.

“Me and Camila Alves hitting the road to get em to rural hospitals in need across Texas,” he wrote, while showing the back of his Ford F-250 piled up with boxes.
The “How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days” star has utilized his fame to be a voice of hope and awareness amid the pandemic.
There are currently over five million confirmed cases worldwide, with the United States being the hardest-hit country, followed by Brazil and Russia.
McConaughey also donated thousands of face masks to front line workers and gave meals to those affected by the current situation.
A VOICE OF HOPE
McConaughey recently took to social media a video of himself, encouraging his fans and followers to take extra precautions during this trying time.

“Just want to say that in these crazy times that we’re in with the coronavirus, let’s take care of ourselves and each other,” he said.
The 50-year-old also emphasized the importance of coming together and fighting as one to curb the spread of the deadly devices.
He also talked about how the pandemic affected the economy and will continue to affect the economy in the coming months. However, his post had a hint of positivity in the caption, which read, “because every light turns green.”
CELEBRITIES SPEAK OF THE VIRUS
McConaughey is one among the many celebrities and public figures who have talked about coronavirus on social media.
Other personalities include Arnold Schwarzenegger and celebrity couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who were among the first high-profile stars to contract the virus.
