Ryan Seacrest Talks Relationship with Shayna Taylor and His Work-Life Balance

Ryan Seacrest may be stuck at home, but the show must go on for the “American Idol” and “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host.

It has been months since the coronavirus pandemic caused a shutdown in several parts of the world, creating a new normal that everyone has to adapt to.

Hollywood stars are no exemption to the difficult changes, including Ryan Seacrest, who had to adapt to a work-from-home situation, while living with his girlfriend, Shayna Taylor.

Every day has a new lesson for the television personality as he spends quarantine at home, including finding new things in his pantry.

SEACREST TALKS ABOUT WORKING REMOTELY

The “American Idol,” “Disney Family Singalong” specials, and “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host had to do all three shows remotely and prepare everything needed on his own.

“I put makeup on so many times a day,” he told PEOPLE. “It’s going okay, but I didn’t get a tutorial. I have a toiletry bag with two canisters -- one called ‘contour’ and another called ‘all over.’”

Admittedly, Seacrest can’t tell the difference between both and often receives feedback about his application, most of which consist of not blending enough.

FILMING FOR “AMERICAN IDOL”

Seacrest also took a piece of “American Idol” home with him -- a desk that has the show’s name written on it with blue lighting.

He shared in a post that it has been in his garage for three years to be used for emergency purposes and now, “the time has come,” and he got to use it.

QUARANTINE WITH TAYLOR

Luckily, Seacrest gets to spend his time at home with his chef and food blogger girlfriend, who he spends “a lot of time” with in their kitchen.

“I feel like people all over the world are doing that,” he shared. “I’m doing things that I have not in a long time, like dishes, loading the dishwasher. I have to tell you, I find it quite peaceful and relaxing.”

The couple often whips up healthy meals on their grill and make do with what they have, which seems to be easier with a beautiful chef’s help.
