[Omar Epps] once noted that divorce was not an option in his union with Keisha.
CBS News shares that Omar, who is now a dad-of-three, is making sure to be the "stand-up" dad due to his background. In 2016, the "House" actor worked on a project, "Daddy Don't Go." The initiative was channeled towards creating better fatherhood for children.
According to the Hollywood star, the documentary was about four struggling men who strive to be active dads in the lives of their kids. Epps said about his inspiration for the documentary:
"I didn't grow up with [my father]. That's another reason why I felt passionate about this story. I didn't know my father growing up, and that was that."
When it comes to fatherhood, the "Love and Basketball" actor is very much passionate. As reported by Broadway World, Epss released a memoir, "From Fatherless to Fatherhood," 2018, where he channeled his write up towards talking about his childhood and eventual rise to stardom.
In the revealing memoir, Omar emphasized the importance of a father-figure in the lives of growing children.
For Omar Epps, fatherhood is more than providing needs for a family. It involves a whole lot more such as creating sacred family bonds while inculcating ethical values in children.
As reported by Essence, the celebrity dad once celebrated his oldest child, Aiyanna's milestone achievement, as he got her ready for prom!
Keisha, who couldn't help the swell of pride and joy, took to Instagram at the time to share appealing photos of her spouse and his grown daughter.
Aiyanna looked fab in a black off-shoulder dress as her dad helped with the clasp of a stylish choker around her neck. Besides being a wonderful dad to his bundles of joy, Omar has shown that he is a family fan.
