In the last season of the fan-favorite show, “Blue Bloods,” Andrew Terraciano’s character, Sean, discovered, through a DNA test, that he had a first cousin. On top of that, Frank Reagan played by Tom Selleck, found out that Joe Reagan had a baby by a woman who never told him because their relationship wasn’t serious.

The son happens to be Hill, who works as a detective in the NYPD. Hill works in the firearms unit, but his mother, Paula, would prefer he works in a much safer position.

ADDRESSING THE NEW CHARACTER

The CBS show’s Executive producer Kevin Wade gave a teaser on what would happen to Hochman’s character now that he found out he’s a Reagan. Wade asked: “For Joe Hill, is it best for him to have a great-grandfather and a grandfather who are police commissioners.”

He also noted how the new character had “one uncle who’s a very famous NYPD detective, another who’s an NYPD sergeant, and an aunt who is high up in the District Attorney’s office?” Wade acknowledged how Hill’s life would change in how people “looked at him and related to him.”
