HELPING OTHER PEOPLE

Through the years, Fantasia Barrino has managed to pull herself out of the dark place she once found herself in. After years of struggling, she worked hard to make sure she and her family are no longer in such a difficult position.

That is why now that there has been a lot going on in America, she's decided to jump in and help in a way she knows how - by raising funds through a concert. Hoping to help other people who are in difficult places right now, Fantasia is using her talents to do so.

LIFE AFTER "AMERICAN IDOL"

Before winning "American Idol" in 2004, Barrino raised her eldest daughter Zion as a single mother. Even after winning, it was her daughter that inspired her to keep working hard so that they could live a comfortable life.

After welcoming Zion, she welcomed her son Dallas Xavier a couple of years after.

A MUCH BETTER PLACE

Unfortunately, years after her win, she had to deal with accusations of being in an affair with a married man. In 2010, she tried to overdose on sleeping pills and aspirin before being rescued.

Now, Fantasia is in a much better place. Aside from Zion, she has a son named Xavier from her previous relationship. She is happily in love and married to Kendall Taylor, and has two kids whom she loves and adores.

On top of this, she's also maintained a great career through it all. She continues to wow fans with her talent, and now that she's hosting a virtual concert, it's something they'll finally get to witness after a while.
