AGT Fans Get Furious after Heidi Klum Buzzed Plus-Size Dancer Amanda LaCount
Fans are excited about the new "America's Got Talent" auditions but were furious when show judge Heidi Klum gave plus-size dancer Amanda LaCount the buzzer.
The "America's Got Talent" auditions for 2020 started airing recently, and most of the people who have auditioned so far have had incredible performances showing their talents.
One of the people who auditioned was plus-size dancer Amanda LaCount. Amanda's performance was met with roaring applause by the audience, but midway through her performance, show judge Heidi Klum pressed the buzzer.

While this did nothing to stop LaCount's performance and scaling through to the next round, fans are furious with Klum for pressing the buzzer. The show's fans took to Twitter to express their feelings of dismay at Klum's reaction. Someone stated that:
"Heidi could have waited for Amanda to quit dancing. That was just so rude and wrong to 'X' her while Amanda was so joyfully dancing..."
Another person reiterated that Klum could have waited for LaCount to finish with her performance before giving her a "No" since her act was not terrible enough to warrant the buzzer.
Some other viewers of the show could not comprehend why Klum pressed the "X" buzzer for such a terrific dance performance by LaCount.
"AGT" was embroiled in a dispute with former judge Gabrielle Union.
Another fan of the show emphatically said, "I don't care how Heidi Klum justifies that buzzer. I am canceling you #AGT," with quite many people agreeing with the viewpoint.
Interestingly, while Klum tried to justify her reasons for giving the buzzer, the audience who had given LaCount a standing ovation booed her. Another furious fan said,
"Of course, the skinny model judge would hit her buzzer and say no #AGT."
Amanda LaCount, who was a former student of the Loveland Academy, has been establishing herself in the dance world and proving those who body shame her wrong. For her, although it has been difficult, dance has helped her find the self-confidence that she needs.
Although Klum gave LaCount the "X" buzzer, she gave single mom and singing delight Christina Rae the Golden Buzzer. Klum agreed with Simon Cowell, who said Rae had an "insanely good voice" and hit the buzzer to send her to the live auditions.
Other talented performers brought their A-game to the audition. One such was ten-year-old Roberta Battaglia, who got a golden buzzer from Sofi Vergara for her powerful rendition of Lady Gaga's "Shallow" and thirteen-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova who performed Faouzia's "Tears of Gold."
Although "AGT" was embroiled in a dispute with former judge Gabrielle Union, the show has returned for the fifteenth season. From the acts seen in the first couple of auditions, it promises to be more exciting than ever.
