See Vanessa Bryant's Tattoos Honoring Late Husband Kobe and Daughter Gigi
Six months after her late husband and their daughter died in a helicopter crash, Vanessa Bryant reveals she got permanent tattoos to memorialize them.

The 38-year-old engaged tattoo artist, Nikko Hurtado for this particular memory, and he described the opportunity as an honor when she took to her Instagram to share a couple of videos from the process.
The latest Instagram throwback posts come just a few days after what would have been 13-year-old Gianna’s middle school graduation.
One of the posts revealed that Vanessa transferred Kobe’s message to her neck while Lauryn Hill’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You,” played in the background. The other which showed Gigi’s sweet message wrapped around her wrist had Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” blasting in the room.
ET Online reports that the celebrity tattoo artist’s post comes hours after Vanessa unveiled the body art on her page, thanking her for the home service.
Bryant’s caption showed that she got the permanent ink in February, which was only a month after her husband and daughter’s passing.
People Magazine ’s report on the emotional post reveals that Vanessa isn’t the only one with a tattoo honoring the late NBA star. Los Angeles Lakers players, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, also revered him in ink.
According to Hollywood Life, the songs in Bryant’s tattoo playlist are quite sentimental as they were both songs that Kobe Loved. The outlet adds that in 2018, the couple flew to the Hollywood Bowl for a date night at the Lauryn Hill concert.
Also, the Philadelphia native introduced Bruno Mars at Staples Center in March 2018 during his 24 Karat Gold tour. The publication also recalled that in a eulogy to her daughter in February, she praised Gigi and Kobe’s shared ability to memorize the lyrics to any song.
The latest Instagram throwback posts come just a few days after what would have been 13-year-old Gianna’s middle school graduation. The proud mom, according to E! News, took to her social media to write:
“Congratulations on your 8th-grade graduation Gigi. I love you forever and always. I’m so proud of you. ❤️, Mommy #classof2020.”
The caption came alongside a diploma from Harbor Day School and a graduation lei made with white roses. On their part, the school included a picture of her retired team jersey in the Class of 2020 photo collage.
