Daily Joke: Little Boy Came Thundering down the Stairs
Children have creative ways of following orders from their parents. These ways sometimes leave parents in awe. Other times, parents find themselves startled.
Youngsters are naturally curious, adventurous, and fun-loving. Even when parents get disappointed by their children's behavior, they still love their children no matter what.
For example, one father tried to discipline his little boy, Teddy, because the latter would always come thundering down the stairs. The father admitted that he was annoyed by the loud noises from the child's footsteps.

One day, the father, fed up by the boy's distracting behavior, sat him down for a short talk about his behavior. He told Teddy that his annoying demeanor going down the stairs had happened many times.
In a calm but authoritative voice, the father told Teddy that he had told him countless times to come downstairs quietly. And that it's time for him to listen and change his behavior.
He then asked the boy to go back upstairs and come down in a quiet manner, "like a civilized human being."Teddy stayed quiet while his father was reprimanding him. He was not quite used to his father pointing out his negative behavior. But he followed his father's instruction.

Another round of silence had passed as Teddy went upstairs. From where he was sitting in the front room, the father could not see the stairs.
All of a sudden, Teddy reappeared in the front room. The father was pleased that his child immediately learned his lesson and changed his behavior.

He hopes that Teddy would do what he just did on a daily basis, so he would not be bothered anymore by all the noise on the stairs.
"That's better. Now in future will you always come downstairs like that," the father said.

Teddy told his father in return that his new way of going down the stairs is better than thundering down."Suits me," Teddy said. "I slid down the railing."
This boy sure needed another talking-to! Disciplining a child is truly challenging - but parents just need to see the fun side of it.
