Tamera Mowry paused for a "Moment of truth" on a day she chose to be grateful and spread positivity in the midst of today's protests.
In the midst of the crisis the country faces today, Tamera Mowry draws strength from positivity as she hangs on to her hope for a better tomorrow Tamera is choosing to be grateful these days in spite of the growing protests surrounding racism which lies close to her heart.
Following her series of posts calling for justice in response to George Floyd’s death, the television host took a momentary break to give thanks and acknowledge the good that’s still out there.
Dressed in a floral red top in a photo she shared, Tamera paused for a “Moment of truth” in her caption. She admitted the past few weeks “have been trying on the psyche,” but she also realized that being positive and grateful is what she needs to be these days. She added,
“Yes, this year has been hard. But seeing the world come together for change gives me hope.”
Tamera is a product of an interracial union and she too is in an interracial marriage with Adam Housley. As such, she’s been accustomed to attacks against her race as well as against her marriage.
She’s also been expressing her sentiments about the current issues plaguing the country today. In one post, she shared her heartache over the events of 2020.
In another, she reflected on what kind of lessons she needs to teach her children.
“I believe prejudice/racism/discrimination in some ways are taught. It starts at home… As parents, we have the responsibility to teach, to mold, to instruct, to do! But most importantly, BE the example.”
Luckily, her father who is White raised her to understand that Black is beautiful while her mother would remind her not to allow her to tell her otherwise while keeping her head up.
Her children, Aden and Ariah will definitely benefit from this kind of upbringing. No doubt, Tamera will do everything she can to instill in them values that will uphold love for everyone regardless of color or race.
