R&B icon Toni Braxton is known for her musical prowess and strong vocals, which has seen her attaining several limelight milestones.

Braxton, however, endured some tumultuous times in her marital life, which saw to the end of her marriage with fellow star Keri Lewis.

KERI LEWIS

Keri Lewis, whose name is Keirston Jamal Lewis is a singer and a songwriter. He also extends his expertise to Hollywood and has been seen in several movies.

Lewis's music career goes as far back as 1991 as a member of Mint Condition, an R&B group from Minnesota. Lewis and Toni Braxton tied the knot in 2001.

The couple has two sons — Denim Cole and Diezel Ky. They finalized their divorce in 2013. Keri Lewis's acting credits include movies like 1997's "Good Burger," "Mo' Money," and "Out the Gate" to mention a few.4

BRAXTON AND LEWIS ON CO-PARENTING

The famous duo might have called it quits, but it is not hard to deduce that they are devoted parents. After their divorce, Keri Lewis remained a present dad in the lives of his sons, Denim and Diezel.

Some of their snapshots on Instagram give ample evidence to this. A throwback photo shows the celebrity dad taking a walk with his boys.

The black-and-white image made it evident that they were enjoying a sweet family moment. Another post on Lewis's page shows a grown-up version of his kids as he proudly fawned over them in his caption.

IT WASN'T ALWAYS ROSY

Once in a revealing session on the "Red Table Talk," Toni Braxton bared it all on what went down during her lousy divorce with Lewis.

The mom of two shared that paying alimony made her "very very angry." However, that happened because of an "existing" prenup and postnup arrangement.

The mom-of-two also mentioned that she felt that their marriage ended because of finance and her lupus diagnosis.

Keri Lewis was dissatisfied when he got wind of Braxton's interview, and he refuted her claims making it known that it wasn't about money. Lewis stated that it was Braxton's wish to set up a prenuptial plan.
